August Already!
2 Craft Fairs this month:
Placerville Craft Fair on Sunday August 14th from 8am to 3pm – I’ll be on the south side of main street near Volution Gallery.
CurtisFest 10th Annual on Sunday August 28th from 10am to 4pm. This is always one of my most favorite events. Everything is handmade, there are food trucks, a petting zoo, good music, and this year most of the artists (including me) are demonstrating their work! I have about 10 new colors of seed pearls and 5 colors of chunky pearls to make bracelets and necklaces. So I will be knotting pearls until my fingers tire. Then I’ll be demonstrating some of my new chainmaille designs!
I’ve started weaving and have at least one new shawl ready to sell to a happy home (sneak peak below). It’s PURPLE! I know, you’re so NOT surprised. 🙂 I’ll get a few more things woven before CurtisFest, but will only have the one shawl for the Placerville Craft Fair. I will have plenty of crochet shawls, scarves and hats though!
We moved my adorable daughter into her own room at the beginning of June, so I’ve had to rearrange all my creating space and am still unpacking a few things. But I’m more organized than I’ve been since the tiny human made her appearance in the world! I had a great trip to the Container Store to find a new storage solution for my beads. Plus a trip to Ikea for some nice shelves. I’ll post a pic of my new work area in my next blog post. I have to get a couple more shelves first.
